An expert in my field

Jane Addams born in Cedarville, Illanois.

Jane Addams known as the "mother" of social work, she was a feminist, pacifist and reforming American social worker. She maintained a romantic relationship with Mary Rozet Smith, which he described as marriage.

In 1889 she founded the Hull House with Ellen Gates Starr. The Hull House was a center fro research empirical analysis, study and debate, as well as a pragmatic center for living in and establishing good relations with the neighborhood. She wanted the house to provide a space, time and tools to encourage people to think independently.

In 1931 she became the first American woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and is recognized as the founder of the social work profession in the United States.

I admire her because I find that she did very important things for the time in which she lived. I find that knowledge was very important for social work and that thay continue to this day.
